About

My name is Brenda Whelan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Orchard Park N.Y.

I have worked with children, families and adults in the Western New York Area for over 30 years in the areas of education, trauma, loss, pregnancy and postpartum. Along with being a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am also a Board Certified Chaplain and hold a certificate in grief counseling and mental health disaster response.

I have a passion for working with those processing life events as well as those dealing with relationship issues. I have clinical experience working in the fields of addiction and loss. My goal is to provide a space that feels safe and nonjudgemental as you share your personal story.

There are times in each of our lives when we are faced with challenges and changes that we may not be sure of. I believe it can be helpful to process these changes with another person, to hear a different perspective.

My office is located in Orchard Park, NY and I provide individual counseling to adolescents and adults, family counseling as well as couples/marriage counseling.
