About
Sarah Schick, MSW, LCSW graduated with honors from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a Masters in Social Work. She has had extensive work experience with children most recently as a Behavioral Health Specialist with the DOE in the windward elementary public school system. Sarah resides with her husband in Kaneohe and attends Anchor Church.
Every individual has moments in their life that leave them feeling, overwhelmed, confused, and alone. Sarah believes seeking the insight and professional companionship of therapy is a sign of inner strength, resilience, and commitment to progress. She offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore and work through these issues together. In this space, not only will the skills to cultivate a deeper understanding of self be addressed, but also understanding and implementing the skills necessary for change, will be focused on.
Sarah’s areas of specialty include relationships, family conflict, behavior modification, anxiety, and unraveling the repetitive patterns that so can so easily entangle us. In her work as a behavioral health specialist for children, she can also offer insight into some of our kids’ most frustrating behaviors and the strategies needed to modify them. Sessions focus on identifying these patterns, feelings, triggers, fears and coping skills, as well as the pertinent issues that come up along the way. Sarah incorporates a variety of empirically sound techniques in her practice, based on your specific needs, situation, and personal style.
She is committed to unlocking each client’s inherent abilities to move forward and cope with life’s challenges and obstacles. Transformation is waiting, and sometimes we just need that fellow traveler to give us an extra push.
