About

I am Reketta, a licensed professional counselor located in the state of Alaska. As a PMADs survivor, I have an interest in helping others gain relief from the dark cloud of depression and the lackluster feeling of low energy and zero motivation. The loads and loads of laundry you are unable to put away may be a sign of postpartum depression or a different perinatal mood and anxiety disorder. We can explore symptoms together in therapy and develop a plan to start seeing immediate relief.

My job as your therapist is to help you recognize the mental blocks keeping you from experiencing consistent and desired relief. I am trained in various treatment modalities including CBT and Brainspotting. But the bottom line is I work with you as you rediscover the power you once welded without hesitation. That person is ready to come out and greet the world again. There is power and strength in numbers. Let’s create THE dream team.

I am a military spouse and understand the mixed emotions of leaving family and loved ones behind to move on to the next adventure. That feeling of loneliness from having to start over in a new town, state, or country is not just in your head. Let’s talk about it.

Lastly (and most importantly), on your team is someone you may catch taking a nap on the couch between assisting my five year old with remote learning, avoiding the potty training stage with my toddler, studying for exams, managing a practice, and welcoming a new baby girl into the household.
