About

Anna is a Mississippi native, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Mental Health Therapist, and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s of Education, fulfilling program requirements for both community-based counselor education and school-based counselor education.

In graduate school, Anna found interest in psychopharmacology, learning about outcomes in treatment utilizing psychotropic medications combined with intensive psychotherapy. During her studies at the University of Mississippi, Anna gained extensive experience in play therapy, studying at the Oxford Play Therapy Institute, while completing part of her internship in the school setting.

After obtaining her Master’s degree, Anna focused on clinical, having completed an additional internship in the community-based setting while working with children, adults, and the geriatric population, allowing her to fulfill requirements for licensure in the state of Mississippi. Anna is currently in the process of fulfilling requirements for licensure in the states of Tennessee and Alabama as well. Having 15 years of experience working with such an extensive population in both private practice and the community-based setting, Anna finds most success when utilizing an experiential approach to therapy, which allows treatment to be tailored to the individual’s unique needs, encouraging clients to identify and explore subconscious issues while developing effective coping skills.

Anna also finds passion in assisting families with adoption and infertility issues/education.
