About
My foundation is grounded in traditional and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and is greatly influenced by eastern traditions that blend mind, body awareness.
You’ll find that no matter what type of work we are doing, I am attentive to how you think, feel, and act in order to help you develop and explore ways to grow and empower the way you live your life.
I have been in private practice since 2007. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients, including gender, sexual orientation, and race/ethnicity. I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
I earned my masters from John F. Kennedy University California Counseling Psychology program. I completed my traineeship at the Holistic Counseling Center of Oakland, California, and Internship and post-masters training at Counseling Services Inc. in Sanford, Maine.
I have extensive post-masters training as a couples therapist and sex therapist. I am a certified sex therapist through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). I have also completed advanced training courses with Gina Ogden, Ph.D., LMFT in Relational Sexuality, integrating sexuality, and spirituality, and am a Certified Relational Sexuality Provider.
As a certified sex therapist through the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) with extensive post-masters training and more than 10 years of experience, I provide consultation to clinicians and supervise others seeking certification as sex therapists through AASECT.
I provide a range of workshops and training for psychotherapists, individuals, and couples. I presented at the 2016 annual AASECT Conference in San Juan, Puerto Rico; the 2016 annual Latin American Sexology and Sexual Education Conference (FLASSES) in Madrid, Spain; the 2017 Latin American Medical Sexology Conference in Lima, Peru (SLAMS); and to University of New England Medical School students this past year as part of their Sexual Health Series.
