About
I graduated from Lindenwood University with a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an International Certified Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor. I began my career working in the Title I program with the St. Charles School District in 1996 while still attending college assisting children with developmental delays, and learning disabilities in math and language as well as facilitated small group instruction, co-taught parenting programs and assisted with after school programs. In 1998 I began working for the Francis Howell School district where I worked with an Autistic child one on one that included development and implementation of behavior modifications, prepared and implemented an IEP and communicated extensively with parents, teachers, and students as well as substitute teaching as needed.
After Graduation in 2000 I started my chemical dependency counseling at Gateway Foundation in the City of St. Louis where I completed intake and assessment paperwork, developed, reviewed, modified and communicated treatment plans with treatment team and DOC personnel, assisted clients with aftercare planning and facilitated group, family, co-occurring, and individual therapy. In 2003 I took a position in St. Charles at Bridgeway Counseling Services as a Chemical Dependency Counselor where provided outpatient treatment to male and female clients developed, implemented, reviewed, and modified treatment plans, facilitated individual, family, and group therapy, maintained extensive documentation and communication with treatment team and maintained communication with each individuals drug court team. In 2006, I opened Midwest Counseling Services after. I have been practicing for over 15 years with experience in many areas of substance abuse, mental health and child and adolescent education.
