About
I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oregon, M.S. in Counseling from Portland State University and B.S. in Community Health Education from the University of Oregon. I am a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Oregon. I have dedicated my career to helping people explore their concerns in therapeutic and educational settings, increase their self-awareness, find the courage to face the challenges in their lives and identify solutions that allow them to feel more alive, fulfilled and accepting of themselves.
Since 1996, I have engaged in training and employment as a mental health professional in a wide variety of college counseling centers in Oregon, including: University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Lewis and Clark College, Reed College and the Portland State University College of Education Community Clinic. Additionally, I have experience working in collaborative programs in healthcare and private practice settings where my work focused on conducting psychological evaluations associated with fertility services, assisting survivors of interpersonal violence and conducting prevention-oriented mental health interventions for women at risk of substance abuse during pregnancy.
I also have training and experience in career development. I have worked as a Career Counselor at a variety of educational institutions, including the University of Oregon Career Center, Oregon State University's Career Services and Portland Community College. I am a former faculty member of the Portland State University Special Education Department where I co-developed and published the Career and Life Role Assessment System and developed regional and national curriculum for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities.
