About

Since completing graduate school, I have devoted my practice to supporting parents and their children before, during, and after the divorce process… making life better for the next generation. I have done so in a school and family counseling setting, then by opening my private practice in 1999 in New Jersey. In 2008, we moved to the Twin Cities where I relocated my practice.

My clients experience me as an engaging, approachable, compassionate, experienced professional who partners beside them. From the initial separation through co-parenting, re-marital and blended family issues, you will find that I am very solution-focused, but frequently enjoy the lighter moments, remembering to make room for laughter and humor.

Trained and experienced in conducting divorce mediation and custody evaluations and recommendations as an expert witness to the Court, I provide support and guidance to assist in the successful completion of the divorce process for the best possible outcome for parents and children.

My expertise in child development guides parents through the often-predictable stages in the divorce process, assisting parents in their interaction, appropriate parenting and access so that children benefit from the best of what each parent has to offer them.

In short, I am uniquely experienced, trained and qualified, both personally and professionally, to partner with you before, during, and after your divorce. I can relate to your experiences, problems, frustrations and fears… I look forward to sharing my knowledge and practical solutions with you.

With a BA in Government and Psychology, I’ve always loved the convergence of law and psychology. After working in Human resources for 10 years, I returned to Columbia University to get my MSW, graduating in 1993.

Prior to going to graduate school, it was my own divorce that led me to counseling. It was the supportive guidance and coaching I received during my divorce that inspired me to do this work and guides my practice and approach as your strengths-based supportive link to resources.

Born and raised in New York City, I remarried in 1991. My son has benefited and continues to benefit from the co-parenting he received and receives from his parents and his bonus parents.

After successfully launching my son to Brooklyn and my daughter to Denver, we currently reside in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities where I enjoy gardening, cycling, cross country skiing, the New York Mets and snuggling with my kitties.
