About
Hello. My name is Pam Wilson — born and raised in the State of Montana. I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of San Diego. I have been seeing clients for over 7 years, and am licensed in the states of Montana (LCPC) and Idaho (LPC) to practice psychotherapy. I am also a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Montana. In addition, I am fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
Sometimes we all need someone to talk to and join with us in exploring solutions — someone who can listen without judgement and provide compassion and validation as well as experienced feedback. I can help you work with a wide variety of presenting problems including abandonment issues, trauma, depression, substance abuse, workplace issues, family and situational problems.
Dealing with the underlying trauma in our lives is useful to the healing process. I work with all presenting problems, but specialize in PTSD and other traumas, addiction, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as one useful healing option in my tool belt of therapies. Other useful therapies I utilize include Attachment-based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused.
I have worked with a wide variety of populations including faith-based and Christian clients, Native Americans, male and female Veterans, recovering addicts, LGBT, individuals with career and workplace issues, children, men, and pregnant women.
