About

I have been in the mental health field for over twelve and I am Licensed in New York state and Michigan. I am also a National Certified Counselor and a board certified tele-mental health provider. I received a masters in mental health counseling from the University of Rochester-the warner graduate school of education and human development, as well as a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Rochester. I have experience not only doing non-profit community based individual, child and family counseling and crisis intervention but also in an outpatient clinical setting treating a wide array of clients.

I have advanced training in the evidence based models of cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma systems therapy, functional family therapy and in the incredible years parenting program. I encourage my clients to challenge themselves in our sessions, as change is never easy and it takes courage to face things in our lives that are uncomfortable. You don't have to face these moments alone . We can work together toward successful changes that can enhance your life for the better. My counseling style is eclectic. I utilize motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and person-centered approaches in practice.

I am also an employee assistance program provider through a number of EAPs as well as provide tele-health services through a HIPPA compliant platform. I hold active memberships in the American counseling association and the New York mental health counselors association. In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, reading, spending time with family and being involved in community service projects.
