About
I was raised in a small town in Elizabeth, IN. I love the sense of a smaller, tight knit community, which is what I had growing up. I fell in love with Crestwood (Oldham County) by chance of a boutique shopping trip. I knew I wanted to raise my family in a "lil" bit of country and city combined. Crestwood is that for me! I have a unique background. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Paralegal Studies from Sullivan University, Master's of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University & Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Campbellsville University. I was an office manager & paralegal for 13+ years and loved when I was able to talk with client's about their feelings and help with advice. That's when my passion for counseling began. During that time of my life, I also taught part time at a local college and began teaching psychology classes vs. business ones, which made me fall in love with the idea of being a therapist. I went back to school to become a therapist. I also found the desire to work with addictions and obtained my CADC (certified drug & alcohol counselor) for KY. I'm a person just like you. I need help from time to time too- it's called self-care. I understand the journey of therapy is difficult, but rewarding in the end.
