About

Nancy Turley, MA, LPC, CAC II, applies her life experiences to the therapy process. With patience and acceptance, she allows you to explore your challenges, guiding you to use your strengths to gain insights and solutions for yourself.

Her interest in counseling was sparked by participating in the human potential movement of the 1970's. She attended and later led many groups addressing personal growth and development with a spiritual foundation. Nancy ran her own catering business where she dealt with employee and customer relationships on a daily basis. Working through her own life challenges gave her the motivation to return to school and open her own counseling practice.

She has a passion for working with women in transition, especially the prenatal and postpartum periods where she received specialized training from Postpartum Support International. She has worked with extensively with individuals and families dealing with addictions. She has a lifetime of experiences working through complicated relationships, stress, deaths, and trauma. Nancy has raised two children, now adults, and worked through more than one serious issue in her 46+ years of marriage.

Nancy loves her work as a counselor. She is aware of the benefits of counseling and realizes that each client requires her/his own space, timing and consideration.

In her spare time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her three beautiful grandchildren, doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles, running, bicycling, cross-country skiing and reading.
