About
My name is Misty Cadle and I offer psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families in West Virginia and Virginia. I specialize in Trauma, Substance Use, Depression, Anxiety, and Play Therapy. I serve ages 4 and up and offer in office and Telehealth sessions. I offer services on an individual, group, family, and couples’ basis.
My passion is to help clients identify and remove the cause of psychological suffering by getting a clearer understanding of how the mind works and by learning the tools needed for a better life. I do this by using a combination of cognitive based, motivational enhancement, and EMDR therapies approach.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Old Dominion University in 2008 and a Masters of Education in Mental Health Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson School of Professional Counseling in 2015 with honors.
I have been a therapist for five years and have worked in the mental health field for twelve years. I have a deep and abiding interest in how life stressors impact physical health, and overall happiness. I specialize in trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and play therapy.
Currently, in addition, to providing therapy at this practice, I teach at Southwest Virginia Community College. I have taught counseling courses, psychology courses, and substance abuse counseling courses since 2016. I also provide clinical supervision for clinicians in Virginia and West Virginia working towards licensure or interested in refining their therapy skills.
