About

Hello, my name is Melissa Platt. I am a clinical psychologist specializing in working with survivors of complex trauma, which means I spend a lot of time with people facing some of the most difficult things that human beings can experience. I’ve done research on how complex trauma, or what’s called betrayal trauma can affect survivors. Through working with survivors in therapy and through what I have learned from the research, I am blown away by the human mind and it’s ability to navigate basically anything. If you are a human with a mind you are, quite simply, amazing.

My mission is to help you find the unshakeable place in you to guide you toward a life you may not believe to be possible. Toward this mission, I draw on over a decade of experience, training in a multitude of evidence-based approaches, and my background as a research psychologist focusing on complex trauma and shame. I also strive to embody everything I ask of my clients.
