Jill Blackwelder graduated from UNCC with a Master Degree in Human Development and Learning. She is a NC Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, and Board Certified Tele Mental Health Counselor. She also holds a NC and SC K-12 grade School Guidance Counselor license. Jill has worked in mental health and substance abuse field 39 years. She provides Clinical Supervision for the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors and the NC Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board throughout the state of NC.

She has worked experiences in the court systems, outpatient and inpatient substance abuse facilities, K-12 school settings, family system approaches, EAP, prevention, group counseling, program development, professional athletes, and private practice mental health counseling. Jill spent most of her adult life working with groups, such as adolescent groups dealing with grief, chemical dependent family members, substance use, traumas, as well as peer support programs, to adults dealing with mental health issues, addictions, wellness needs to teaching adult Sunday school classes, and church youth groups.
