About

Heather works with adults using a variety of techniques tailoring the person’s unique needs. She utilizes evidence-based approaches such as CBT, client-centered, psychodynamic and strengths-based therapy. Her experience encompasses working with people suffering from a diverse range of mental health issues, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and mood disorders.

She is experienced in group and individual therapies, working with those with chronic and acute mental health needs. Her work encompasses inpatient and partial hospitalization settings as well as individuals and couples in outpatient settings.

Heather has practiced since 2007 in various agencies on the South Shore providing individual counseling along with groups on self-esteem and anger management. Heather has worked as an individual clinician in nursing homes. She has also offered therapy as an on-line clinician with a start up company. Qualified as a Reiki practitioner and having completed Yoga Instruction training, Heather uses mindfulness as a modality for outpatient success.

Heather received her masters in counselor education in 2007 at Bridgewater University and her mental health counselor license in 2009.
