FUN AND INSPIRATIONAL THERAPY
There is a misconception of counseling, that one has to dig up all of the hurtful past before seeing immediate positive outcomes. Instead, after a collaborative counseling session, you may quickly see a more enjoyable life!

Dr. Collins' optimistic positive counseling in Ocean Springs humanistic integrative scope of practice is a form of compassionate supportive therapy to assist in enhancing the client’s perception of self-efficacy toward changing their maladaptive behaviors, while discovering their strengths that lead to positive interactions with themselves and others through effective rational thinking, coping, and communication skills, and ascribing compassionate and self supportive meaning in their own lives, in the here and now. The therapeutic goal is to fully experience being a highly functional and happy person. This positive psychological scope of integrative practice is influenced by the evidence-based helping theories and approaches of Bandura’s social learning and self-efficacy, Rogers’ person-centered perspectives, Frankl’s Logotherapy of meaning and purpose in life, May and Yalom’s existential framework, Adler’s concept of the fully functioning person, Beck and Ellis’ approaches to cognitive-behavioral therapy, Miller and Rollnick’s approaches toward enhancing motivation to change, Lyubomirsky’s research on sustainable happiness, and then, Marsha Lineham’s specific behavioral change strategies in her Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, individual, couple, and or family sessions. Workshops are also available. Call for an appointment in the office, tele-mental health, or to set up a workshop at your business or other location.
