I have been working as a psychotherapist, psychotherapy supervisor and trainer since 1983. I am experienced in working with children, adolescents and adults. I can work with individuals, families and couples. While I value a family perspective in my work, who I see in treatment is always a result of a our collaborating on what you want, need and ways I believe I can be helpful. A good working, collaborative relationship is a key to success. I ask you for ongoing immediate feedback about whether treatment is getting you what you want and how I am doing in delivering good service to you.

Psychotherapy works for most people who seek help. When you seek help, you should expect to see improvement within a relatively short time. This does require some time and effort on your part. Psychotherapy has been shown to have a better record for producing lasting positive effects than many medications used to treat depression and other problems you may be experiencing. Psychotherapy does not come with a long list of terrible side effects.
