About
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years experience in the field of mental health, providing individual and family therapy, clinical supervision, program development, and training. I do this work because I believe in the resilience of the human spirit. Witnessing what people overcome in the face of adversity is awe inspiring. Through my own personal experience with healing and transformation, I’ve gotten sober in a recovery community, beat an eating disorder, and learned how to kick co-dependency. Therapy has been central to this process. I get it, and I’m here to help.
I have Master’s of Arts in Existential Phenomenological Therapeutic Psychology from Seattle University. With this therapeutic lens, I value your direct experience, care about your personal values, and am curious about what a meaningful and authentic life for yourself looks like. I’ve also worked in several evidenced based therapy models including Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and Multisystemic Therapy (MST), and have utilized Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy in my work. From this experience, I draw on interventions that are effective, targeted, and are grounded in your strengths. It is important to me that therapy gets results. In addition, I have a post master’s certificate from JFK University for treating eating disorders.
EMDR therapy is my primary theoretical orientation, and I’m both a Certified EMDR therapist and Consultant in training. I’ve both personally experienced and witnessed profound and rapid healing that has freed people to live the lives they deserve. I’m affiliated with the Institute for Creative Mindfulness, and utilize an additional range of mindfulness tools, both exercises and practices, to use in our work together.
