About
I am a native of Spartanburg and am devoted to helping the children and youth of the Upstate live their best, most fulfilling lives. I have known since a young age that I wanted a career working with children. This passion has led to my practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner. I have almost two decades of pediatric nursing experience and have spent the past 12 years in busy practices caring for a range of patients from healthy well children to vulnerable, high risk populations.
I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Clemson University and a Master's of Science in Advanced Child Health Nursing from the University of South Alabama where I am now pursuing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice. I hold dual certifications as a pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric mental health specialist.
My care philosophy is to meet patients and families on their journey and assist them on their path to wellness. I consider every aspect of a patient's physical, mental, emotional, and social needs in determining accurate assessments and appropriate treatment plans. My experience in both physical and mental health allow me to sort through the confusing ways the mind and body communicate in children which often leads to frequent complaints of physical symptoms. I believe in evidence-based care that is both patient-centric and holistic.
I am grateful to share my life with my husband, two stepsons, son, and daughter (21-13 years old), three dogs, and two cats. My career and personal experiences have prepared me to provide your child with the proper tools to help them achieve their best.
