About

My priority is helping you find the solution that works best for you. By listening carefully and asking the right questions I work with you to create a tailored plan that addresses your needs. I genuinely care about people and use a variety of modalities, theoretical perspectives, and techniques to create a strong therapeutic relationship in a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment.

I earned my Masters of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina in 2002 and a BA in Psychology from Erskine College in 1997. Since 1997, I have worked in a variety of behavioral health settings, including disability services, mental health, hospice, home health, long-term care facilities, and domestic violence intervention with perpetrators. My private practice opened in 2011 and I offer social work supervision for those pursuing their clinical licensure.

Though treatment is tailored to fit the client, I am most influenced by CBT, EMDR, NET, SFBT, and Hypnotherapy. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Hypnotherapist with a focus on Relaxation-Based Pain Relief and trauma treatment. I am a member of the NASW, IATP and the NGH.

In my free time, I enjoy learning new things, working on the family farm, training animals, and spending quality time with my husband of 20 years, my son, and my pets.
