About

I am a graduate of Southern Nazarene University where I received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. I received my Bachelor of Arts in writing with a minor in business administration. For several years I worked in banking, management, and the dental field before I realized that my passion did not rest in these areas and instead resides in walking alongside someone through whatever obstacles they might be trying to overcome, any battles they are fighting, and any challenges they are facing. It is an empowering experience to be seen and to be understood. I believe wholeheartedly that it is within the safe spaces of the counseling relationship that one can find the healing and restoration that they are seeking.

Oftentimes, therapy is an intimidating step to take. Sharing your struggles and hurts with another is frightening or may feel risky. It takes courage to face change and work toward an empowered sense of self, stronger relationships, and a better life. It is exactly because of this bravery why I am honored people come to me, taking positive steps toward the life they desire. This is what I strive to assist others with day-to-day, and I have found it to be the most rewarding and humbling experience.
