Amy Lyons is a Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual therapy, and maintains a private practice in Jackson, WY.

She has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Positive Psychology. She has 5 years of experience working at the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center seeing a variety of clientele and now as a private practitioner for the last 4 years works with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are individuals with depression and anxiety, guided imagery, trauma, and animal assisted therapy.

Amy is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Amy received a Bachelors of Science in Biblical Counseling from Moody Bible Institute. She then attended Capella University where she earned a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling (2010) and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology (2018).

Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wyoming, License # 1276.

Amy has lived in Jackson, WY off and on (while attending school) since 2000. She enjoys all that Jackson has to offer including the beautiful summer season and the long cold winter months. She is active in the community as a member of the Jackson Hole Women's Hockey Team. She also has a strong interest in animals and their use in therapy, you may see her dog, Brodie, in the office. He is a big yellow lab who will nap on the floor or snuggle with you on the couch. If you would prefer he not attend your session please let Amy know ahead of time.
