About

​Alicia went to St. Norbert College, and in 2010 earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2010 she moved to Milwaukee, WI to start the Master of Arts in Community Counseling program at Marquette University. During her time at MU, she interned for the Behavior Clinic at Penfield Children’s Center, conducting in-home therapy with low-income families. She also spent some time as a research assistant for the Behavior Clinic, inputting data for research and co-authoring in a research article. Once she received her M.A. in Community Counseling in 2012, she worked with individuals of all ages at a substance abuse clinic in the inner city of Milwaukee. For 2 years, Alicia gained experience working with MAT (medication-assisted treatment) and dually-diagnosed clients in 1:1 and group settings. In 2014 she started at Roots Counseling Services, where she became the Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director, working with a younger population in substance abuse counseling, utilizing an abstinence-based and 12-step approach to recovery. In 2019 she opened Fleischmann Counseling, LLC in Elm Grove, WI, focusing her current work on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in moms, general mental health, and couples counseling.

Alicia holds her LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), CSAC (Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor), PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification), CCM (Certified Case Manager), and ICS (Independent Clinical Supervisor) licensures in the state of WI. She is trained in CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing), PMADS (Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders), couples counseling (Gottman method), parenting skills (PCIT- parent child interaction therapy), and clinical supervision. She is listed as a resource for moms struggling with mental health on the MMHI (Mom’s Mental Health Initiative) website.

In her free time, Alicia serves as an Elizabeth Minister at her local parish. She is the Vice President on the Board of Directors for Love + Lift Inc., a local non-profit organization that aims to build community and inspire beautiful through intentional acts of kindness. She is a mom of 2 lively ladies, Jovie (5.5 yo) and Audrey (2.5 yo). She enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband of 10 years (Bryan) and pup (Jordy). Aside from family time and helping others, she loves cooking and trying new recipes.
